How do most of you connect the motor fan? Directly from battery or off the BEC on your receiver?

I used to connect it to my RX but recently switched to direct battery connection. I noticed when throttle is applied rather quickly the fan will stop spinning for a bit. This is on the bench so i'm not sure of how it is on the track.

Has anyone compared cooling between the two?

Direct to the battery +/- at the ESC. Never had a problem, much less have the fan stall out. If you wire to the ESC, remember to unplug your car before going out to turn marshall!

for cheap 5v fan, being connected to the battery direct can be a killer, so receiver for them, if you have a good quality 5v or a 7v fan, then no prob to be on battery, this is what I use and never had a fan dying on me yet, the plus is that you can leave your fan running even after you turn your car off and still cool down your motor.
