Conversion of 1/14 Carisma into decent car
Hello !
I am starting a project of turning a toy Carisma 1/14 F1 car into a respectable home made car . I stripped out all it's electronics and I'm planning to replace the poor quality plastic chassis plate with another material . What do you think which material would be suitable ? I know there are a lot of home made pan cars , so I hope I will find the answer .
Thanks in advance ,
Denis

Carisma makes an optional fiberglass pan chassis for the Carisma M14. I have one, and it is much better than the stock plastic chassis.

I'm looking to create my own chassis for a university project so I'd rather avoid buying stuff . I'm looking to "create" an 1/14 F1 car .
So , any ideas ? Should I buy a carbon plate ? I see some old pan cars from the 70s/80s had aluminium plates ? Or perhaps some strong plastic ( like Xray's "R" series ) ?

You do know Carisma makes a pretty darned good F1 car already ??? And yes, a carbon fiber plate chassis would be great for it but don't know if it would be really useful. There's a thread for the Carisma F14 Evo ...search and find it. Then ask questions.
