I went thru the battery wars & I sticking with FUSION you get the best bang for the buck & the battery are true to the numbers as for fukuyama never tried them but I recently tryed one motor & it was ballastic. the only problem I ever had was with was TQ cells after two race events they dumped on my 1/12th scale which got me bumped to first place in the b main I ran my fusion 1.117 & I won first place & was only 4 seconds off the tq winner

I agree, how can you beat packs that not only include the battery bars, not to mention, trick ones, but they have already biult the packs!!!...What's that worth in the time you save getting ready for a race.......When I found out thier solder method was more effecient then we could do ourselves as well........I mean, no contest!
I have Orion, Reedy, SMC and have used other packs as well....But little by little i'm selling off my other brands and going over to 100% Fusion batteries!...Jim, jconcepts.net

expensive battery bars....lol. Nice try guys, hardly expensive. I get my battery bars for about three bucks at speedtech.
I think if you can solder well enough, you just as good off buying some loose battery cells and doing it yourself. This hobby is expensive enough without buying batteries. Once you factory in battery cost then you need to start thinking up eleborate stories to tell your wife why there is a hundred dollars missing from the bank account.
There is no doubt that fusion batteries are top notch, but they are a bit unattainable if you ask me. I really love the concept of their patented soldering technique and their innovative battery bars, but I just can't see myself ever shelling out over a hundred dollars for a pack of batteries. I can get some top notch fukuyamas for about forty dollars less, that way I can still eat dinner after going battery shopping.

Awesome Rip from begining to end, have been running them for 2 years and the development gets better and better, low internals, I have packs any where from 390 to 440 and they all run great, volatge, low Ir and variable runtimes,,,, Tell Tony what you want and he delivers, Now he pre solders using his new solder and sets the cells in the configueration how you want them, what more can you ask for. teampowerpush.com

I have Fusion batteries that were $49.00 and get me plenty of runtime and voltage for 10x2 in 4wd modified racing 5 minutes!
That's with trick battery bars, already assembled, even with a deans connector or Tamiya if you prefer?....$49.00 and up.
Even buying loose cells and giving up battery life(not charge time or runtime matched) and performance(not voltage matched).....A non matched battery will always have cells which are only partially charged and some overcharged. The main priority of a matched pack is battery life, the top end matched cells give life and performance above average as well.
They also come in plastic reuseable trays that hold up alot better then cardboard boxes do. Seems like a pretty good deal to me?..........Jim

Fusion currently does not offer loose cells except to oem customers. All Fusion batteries do come in a clear lexan box. You fuys are missing the point. Its not really all about cost...Its about performance. INk and paper are cheap. It would be very easy if a matcher decided to be unscrupulous and just make some labels that werent true. You guys are smarter than that though right. I mean you could tell if you got sub par packs right away. Most of you have turbo 30 or 35's anyway. So I know there is a lot of bench racing going on. Your turbo's will tell the story only part way. The race track tells more. Go look at how much your lap times fade when running some other brand than Fusion. Then run a comparable Fusion battery and see the difference. Its there I assure you. Howver you cant see that on your turbo 30's.

Yes we have done studies to that effect. I currently do not remember the exact figures from the results but it was a huge difference in total heat reduced with something like a 4 mph breeze over the cells with the bars versus the cells without the bars. If you would like to test at home very simply try using a heat gun and measure the temp of the cells versus the temp of the bars. You will see the bars are hotter than the cells even though they are made with a less resistive material than the cells. Less resistance= less heat yet the bars are hotter. Answer the heat is coming out of the cells and being tranferred to the air.
