What carpet will work for track?

Does anyone with first hand experience know if the extremely low pile indoor outdoor carpet home depot sells will work for touring and pan cars? Thanks

nothing will compare to CRC FastTrack. $1000 for 1200 sq feet is very reasonable

We use the Home Depot low-pile for our offroad carpet track... I tried it for TC and if you are looking for any kind of competitive racing, I don't think it will work well. It is rubber-backed so the good think is that it "MAY" build a groove, however, we found in testing that it was not a consistent as CRC Fastrack. The Home Depot carpet will work - but not as well as CRC carpet will.
