latest tamiya?

Hi there,

I am planning to buy a new tamiya 1/10 onroad.

I am having a difficult time finding the latest model they have.

Any advice? And which online stores can I find it at?

I also have trf415mx that I got around 5 years ago. Where can I find spare parts for it (eg. front arms, belt etc..) ?

Top of the line - TRF417
TA series - TA06/Pro

What's TA series. Sorry I've been out of this hobby for some time. :)

Its there more budget orintated chassis. Plastic tub chassis that uses some parts from their top end cars. Quite fast in the right hands but dosen't posses the same ultimate pace as their TRF line.

TA(Belt)/TB(Shaft) series is more of a budget racer line with injection moulded chassis. Can still be competitive with the right options. Most of the recent TA/TB cars use the same suspension as the TRF series.

When I looked at trf417 on tamiya's website it said discontinued. Am I missing anything?

Tamiya TA-42200, new chassis kit with Gear diff II

try places like Rcmarket etc $537 USD

For your TRF 415, i have that as well as a 417, all the parts are interchangeable in regard to the suspension pieces ie: blocks, hubs, arms, so if your 415 has the short arms they haven't changed through the 416 and now to the 417 series. so you dont have to have multiple spares.

Thanks for answering.

Now that I am looking at the part #s. I found the following:

http://www.speedtechrc.com/store/ebp...id=276&id=6112

http://www.speedtechrc.com/store/ebp...id=273&id=1697 (this is what came with the trf415msx)

If these two are interchangeable on my trf415msx then what's the difference between them?

Thanks

use the short reversable arms, the other ones are a longer arm.

change them to the short arms and they are the same as on your 417 when you buy it

What's the difference between the short and the long ones in terms of stability?

Short arms have more stability (faster direction change) which is usually more suited to modern TC's on tight tracks.
