I'm new to 12th scale (been racing 1/10th scale offroad before) and got the Carpet Ripper V as my first pan car. I built the car with the manual to out-of-box setup and went to track and it was very easy to drive right from the start.
V-Dezign's parts are very high quality, black anodized aluminium parts looks awesome and carbon fibre has been machined nicely.
The CRV uses CRC's plastic parts and they need a little bit of work to get everything work smoothly. If you run in to problems with the car, Vesa is more than helpful to answer questions.
I'll be doing my first race this weekend, can't wait to get CRV on to race track.
Here's my car:

Some of the new products from Team V-Dezign:
- Diff grease - less maintenance, superb performance - suits for all ball diffs
- Thrust grease - less maintenance, smoother diffs - suits for all ball diff thrust bearings
- Anti-wear grease
- Lite diff rings
- Rear axle shims
- Black alum rear wheel mounting screws
- Black M3x6mm button head screws
- Front end pivot ball tool
- Countersunk flat shims, black & red alum
- VDZN Tube oils ; Supersoft, soft & medium
and more....
Plenty of graphite parts in stock soon. Carpet Ripper V kits available again before Xmas! Also planning - if there is interest on this - to release upgrade kit which includes the rear pod and all graphite parts and pivots so it would fit any CRC car - just consider the color resistance from black to red

Tested my crv yesterday at a local 8th scale track, long straight
More a power track with it current setup, went with kit setup with Small changes moved from 35wt to 25wt shock weight for more rear traction
Changed to gold side springs with little pre load about 1/4 turn
Car was dialed and the corner speed was unreal no need to go totally off throttle, lighter shock oil helped with the bumps on the track being outdoor
Had to leave but wanted to turn up the boost more and more it just had that much grip, this car really is so easy to be consistent
Tires tested
Xceeds soft rears and Jaco double pink fronts & body was AMR

First outing of the season today and had a blast, car was so easy to drive even compared to V4. Need some work on ESC settings to have a little more grunt out of the corner.
Long shock option was best but need to check the droop on that for next time. Was running 5.5 turn mod and directly on last years pace, at the end a little faster and more consistent.
Setup sheet attached and this time hopefully full of info...
