Kyosho Plazma 1/12th pan chassis
#151
I was just wondering if anyone has tried to put a shock in the front similar to the yokomo. I would like to try this for fun but am interested to see if anyone has done this.

The Yokomo has a center front shock option because it uses a double wish bone front suspension, both the upper and lower suspension arms move. The Kyosho front end is more traditional so the lower arm does not move like most 1/12th scale cars. Since the shock is attached to the lower arm it wouldn't do much good since the arm doesn't move.

Wow, Thank you for the info!

Hey guys, can I fit the Yokomo GT500 bodies to the Plazma? Thanks,

Can't view the pic, but new 12th scale cars are always welcomed

Gearing
Hi All,
I was hoping for some gearing tips. I've only run the car a couple of times now (Team Orion Vortex 3.5T & R10 ESC) and I have the thing apart right now and it looks like my pinion & spur are a little stripped. I'd like to replace them with a more durable option that reduces the acceleration a bit...I'm having some trouble finding compatible options. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

Here's a really good setup for 21.5 2 cell medium traction asphalt setup. Track surface temperatures were around 30~40 degrees Celsius.
2.25 mm chassis for increased chassis flex (front brace installed)
Front
Camber -1.5
Caster arm forward
Spring 0.20 Associated
Kinping Oil 30,000 Kyosho
Ride Height 3.8 mm
Medium Hard Team Bomber Tires (43.5 mm dia)
Rear
Center Shock 70 wt oil (Kyosho 700)
Associated Gold Spring
Center shock mount (standard)
Damper tubes (20,000)
Associated silver side spring
Ride height 4.0 mm
Medium Soft Team Bomber (45.00 mm)
I found this setup carried a lot of corner speed with lot's of steering. Best setup I've found so far.
