Default Speed Passion brushless esc fan failure :(

Hi a while back the esc cooling fan burnt out on my Speed Passion Drift Master combo. I noticed the fan was spinning very quick before the failure. Would running this setup on NICAD or NIMH over power the fan and make it burn out?

Was using a couple of cheap stick packs, Definitely no li-po... Is it Probable either of the stick packs were less than 4 cell causing the failure?

Did it burn up or just stop working?

Stopped working. I'm guessing burnt out as it when it was working it was spinning rather fast.

Now hard to turn with fingers, Not freely like when new.

Also was fairly new when this happened so didn't wear out due to old age.

These fans stop working all the time. It might just be dirty see if you can get into it clean and lube it. But do not expect to work for long if you do clean it and it starts working again. These type of fans always are a pain whether they are in a RC car or computer.

It never really had a chance to get dirty. That's how little I used it..

Plus according to the sales pitch these are meant to be "dust proof"
