Just want to let everyone know that I am still making and selling the Team Pharriswheel "SuperCooler" and "SuperCoolerX" as fast as I can. (I do have a real job, this was supposed to be a hobby)
I have sold over 500 units world wide in the past year, and have exhausted some of my suppliers. Right now I have a few units ready to ship, and I'm waiting for parts to make another run.
Thanks Jon for bumping the thread, and Mark for helping with the R&D for the JRSX. Jeff -- Team Pharriswheel

NP Jeff. Once I got a Keyance in the car and rewired it a little more neatly, I was able to mount it from the top rather than having to go from the bottom. Much easier. Here's a pic.

Well, I usually will hit the track with the motor in the 30's. I haven't seen one get that cold. I'm not sure how Jeff got it that cold, but on race day, 25-30f is about where it goes to.

Hey Dotman, I ya look at the pics(attachments) on page 1 of this thread, you will see the difference.
The original "SuperCooler" was designed for cars (TC3, XXX-s) where the motor is accessable from the top. These "clamp" on the motor from the top. The "SuperCoolerX" came about when racers wanted something to fit cars like the X-ray, where the motor is buried between the bulkheads. The car (motor) sits on top of a "saddle".
The thermoelectric coupling that I use is good for aprox a 60 degree temp differential. I have had the cold side down below minus -25, under perfect conditons, and a heatsink and fan combo bigger than a 1/10 scale car. Not very practical, and way to expensive (but it will freeze a beer in about 30 seconds).

I have manufactured what is the same in November in 2003.
My cooler cools a battery.

If it says from my experience, dew condensation will occur depending on open air temperature.

here is link to my page.

I haven't been on the threads in a while, but to answer the last question. I use a MSPBA (Micronized Steel Polymer Bonding Agent). I tried soldering, and brazing but it would discolor the copper so bad and the bond (and thermal transfer) was not any better.
