I run it is vta and am very competitive and always make the a main. Upgrades I've found to be needed are an aluminum steering rack, the rpm nitro tc3 front bumper, and mip steel cvds. Other than that I have found tire prep is more important than my other car. Less forgiving I guess?

Parma foam bumper, threaded shocks, aluminum irs spool+lcd(losa3344) drives, irs(lite drives) aluminum diff in the rear, acer ceramic drivetrain bearings, acer diff balls 3/32" and 5/64", fastest (0.07sec to 0.1sec)cheap servo (savox), decent 2.4ghz radio, tekin rs pro esc to keep your car as light as possible, lightest possible lipo pack (260grams max or you will be overweight) ; thunderpower tp4200 40c 263grams for mod or tp3200 40c 208grams for stock in order to keep the car between 1400grams and 1490 grams !!! The tc4 performs well when running the shortest wheelbase possible and low roll center.....cheers....
