Hi

I don't have a TA-04R but I have just bought a TA-04S ! Everything is great, looks a nice design etc but there is a mechanical speed controller included ..... but no information in the manual how to fit it

If anyone has a TA-04 with a mechanical speed controller (I know they are rubbish but it's all I have and I want to use it for now!) could you PLEASE post a picture of how/where it is fitted?

Or a scan of the construction manual page where the diagram is? My manual is for "TA-04S Chassis Kit" and all it shows is the fitting of an ESC but there is a mechanical one in the box !

Thanks in advance !

There must be a manual with your M.S.C. bag.

Default TA04-TRF with Carbon Lower Deck?

Hi,
I am running a TA04R, and as I priced all the hop-ups that I may need later, I've noticed that I may be better off with purchasing a new TRF version from LHS and run it with Carbon Lower Deck(part 53494) for TCS GT2 class and possibly GT1 next season. Does anyone try this yet? Does carbon lower deck will fit with TRF version? like new Front One-Way, SSG decks, new front stablizer and so on.
Thanks,
J.

John the carbon lower will work with any 04. For gt1 get the EVO or the 414 and keep the R R for your GT2 car. Are you going to be out this weekend if so I will bring all the mags back for you.

KrispyK,
I have one comin this week from Rainbowten. This issue has been discuss between my friends and although the facts are not in yet we feel the layout might have a difference because of the new aluminum suspension mounts.
but as soon as I have the kit I'll check if it is possible and will be happy to post it here.

Hi Barry

Cheers for reply, the only literature in the MSC bag is the usual small paper "ticket" saying don't run slowly for too long, watch the resistor gets hot etc, it is the universal instruction set, not relative to any car. I think it was dropped in along with the motor because on the box it says, "Requires 540 motor and ESC" but TA-04's in the UK alreday have the MSC so I imagine there are more detailed fitting instructions relative to this chassis - this car was from Hong Kong. You don't have the TA-04 MSC slip of paper you could scan and send me do you !

Cheers

Bathtub vs. carbon lower deck.

Here in Europe we can not use 414 or TB evo series. Is their nobody using the bathtub in favor of the carbon deck with the TA04 in GT1 in the U.S.? Becouse in Europe many fast TA04 racer choose it in favor of the carbon deck.

Default TA04-TRF

I want to share the TA04-TRF I got yesterday from Rainbowten. I will post update after I built it.
My initial impressions are.
da good:
Nice box, Nice option parts, New one-way, Worlds Edition Stabilizers, SSG graphite parts, Aluminum mounts, Aluminum center one nway

da bad: No Titanium Buckles, No Titanium Screw,
I wish they redisgned a new motor mount to allow more gear ratio changes like 414m2

I'll post more updates soon

Oooohhh.... the box looks really nice (are the TRF letters foiled too like the 414 Worlds ed?)...

I can't wait to see the actual car on Saturday... that is if you're actually building this beast...
