has anyone tired running a normal body ont eh tao4-ss(short wheel base)? i mean you could just cut teh wheel weels shorter to align it witht eh short wheel base right? i really don't wanna just run the mr-s or tt, i want to use my 190 bodies but mod it to fit.
would that work? has anyone tried that?
thanks

Protoform bodies' wheel bases are already too long... with the SS you won't be able to see rear wheels . Think of it as an aerodynamic enchancement.

I installed the graphite towers last night, shoo goo the rear to the diff cases. I did notice on the rear graphite shock towers that it sits very low. It almost looks as if the bottom of the rear towers is touching the rings on the derlin outdirves. Has anyone notice this?

Thanks. That fix the problem.

hey buggZI!
The ssg parts are not only just eye candy. They are actually reinforced with aluminum pieces to make the carbon fiber stronger for less flex. There were a lot of complaints about how flexable the old c.f. is. They also have a cool gray shiney look to them-eye candy.

If you want to make them stiffer why not add more layers, different materials ...kevlar... etc.
I would think the addition of aluminum into the mix would make the pieces more likly to tweek or bend?

Ran my 04R today for the first time, on the track that is. The car was hooked. Some other cars were getting lapped . I'm very please with the perfomance.

Hey Mike F, was this the setup you ran? How was the traction?

That's the set up jackhammer74. The only thing that I did differently was add 1 black shock piston to each shock, internally. The ones that come with the 04R kit. I still have the white piston in place but needed a little less travel on the shock since I adjusted the droop settings from the manual
The car had a slight oversteer but I'm going to wait until it's actually warmer before I change anything. It was about 45 degrees and cloudy Sunday.
