I think the shock oil is ok. The F201 guys are using Mugen diff oil in their stock shocks, so I can't see why it would be different for tc's. Dunno for sure, though. Maybe there are some experienced TCS racers that can answer that conclusively.

Are you sure about the alum bones? In the catalog, it says specifically that they do not work with the brass universals. I'd like to take a closer look at your universals to see if they will work. I wish we had a local shop that carried this stuff!

FYI -- I have a pair of aluminum diff pulleys and two sets of unthreaded super low friction aluminum shocks for sale in the for sale thread.

TAO4 Carbon saddle-pack chassis
Does anyone know of a carbon fibre saddle-pack chassis (similiar to 414) to suit the TA04? Tamiya or any other brand?
Thx,

psycho-Thanks for the info. I just wanted to make sure, since they are checking everything from screws to o-rings, I would think that shock oil would be something that they would look at as well.
Scottyp-Tamiya makes a saddle pack chassis for the TA04 cars. I believe the part number is 52001

Tamiya chassis 52001
Thx Dayten.
Do you know from where I can purchase this chassis from? I checked Rainbow Ten's list and can't find it there. Also can't find it on Tamiya USA web site. Perhaps from Speedtech?
Is that the chassis on your TA04? If so it looks very cool and I'm getting one for sure!
Thx again,
ScottyP

The Tamiya chassis 52001, is made especially on order for Tamiya USA. .
