do you guys think that i can put the TA04R tub chassis on the 414M without any mods? Planning on making the 414M GT2 legal so no carbon chassis.

if u wan 2 race gt2,then u should have gotten the 04r instead of the 414...it's a waste of the 414...

frm my understand tat gt1 consist of cars such as 414m,tb evo,tb evo2...

jcr - I'd check with the Tamiya rules...I know Tamiya America wont allow parts from one chassis designation to be used on another (i.e., TA-03 parts on a TA04)...So i'd verify that the "conversion" that you wanna do is legal in the first place....I think I remember some one saying that the bulkhead wont mate up correctly either

Trust me I'd love to have to alloy bulkhead on my 04R

I don't know about Canada, but the TRF cars are allowed in GT1, I was just at the Tamiya race less than a month ago.

No, the two chassis are completely different!! They use different mounting holes for the bulkheads.
Along with a few other small differences that I won't go into.

CharlieB,

That's what chad said about his TA04Rs too. The one that runs best is the one that is pretty much in the stock form. YOu know chad has like 3 of them, two of them are like totally hop-uped, and one of them he was using like TA03 low friction damper and all the stock stuff. He told me his almost stock TA04 R runs like a champ (well, in his words, it runs like a TRF414MRMMMM2 lol)
