I don't know exaxlty what it does but it flattens out the chassis. I don't see the part number on the instruction sheet for the chassis. Sorry.

So how do I get this new updated chassis?

I have a Ta04-R but never sent in the original chassis.

I would contact Tamiya Customer Service and ask them...I did it almost immediately after I got the car and had to wait for what seemed like forever (4 months) to get the new chassis back...

thanks for the tire info.

I have a couple questions!!!!
What is the spring rate or pound of spring for the Yellow springs that come with the tao4r??????

Are springs other than tamiya legal for tcs racing and if so which ones work the best for carpet???

Does anyone have the part number for lightened outdrives

thanks in advance
Jesse

Default Help on setup the car! and finding parts

I have some trouble with the car!! I did every thing by the book and still...the car act really strange! Every time I turn just a little the car keep spin out and no rear traktion at all!! (FOAM TIRE) and when I put the rubber tieres in it seem like I have wayyy too much push..and the car will not turn! Here is what my setup like

Shock oil 40wt front and 30wt rear
Camber 1degrees front and 2 degrees rear.
Droop is arund 5.
Toe one 0 front and 2 rear.

What seem to be the problem? is it the tires? I run the car on carpet race.

From what I can see, that is just to much droop for carpet, droop should be 1 or even 0 for carpet.

Anyone know the spring ratings of the hard tuned spring set? I'd like to know, so I can get the correct aftermaket springs to use in conjunction with the tamiya springs. Thanks.

TRF414 LOWER CHASIS

Guys,

Can I use the TRF414M lower chasis for my TRF414? I'm running on stick packs and the only way I can put in this my 414 is by using glass tapes. I noticed that the 414M has a provision for J parts (stick pack battery holder).

Thanks!!!

HEHEHE...That was pretty much the same expression that I had when I FINALLY received mine

Gotta love those counter-sunk screws and batter slots...only bad comment I have for both chassis is that if you direct solder your batteries you can use the battery hold downs Oh well, I guess I'll just be lighter and faster without them

Impact - which TCS are you planning on going to?? I'm definitely headed to the RCO race and most likely the race down in Laurel...Do you know how registrations work for the TCS races??? I cant find any info nor get an answer from RCO

I need more on-power steering on my TA04-R.

Hello everyone,
I'm having problems getting enough on-power steering from my 04-R on a high traction indoor asphalt track. Off-power, the steering is perfect. My lap times are consistenly .1-.2 sec slower compared to my Tc3 using modified motors. Any suggestions?

Currently, I'm running white springs front and rear, front red swaybar, yellow rear swaybar, front 1-way. Everything else is standard 04-R stuff.

I will be at the TCS at RCO, and maybe Laurel too.

Call 1-800-TAMIYA-A and choose the option to enter for a TCS race.
