I am not sure if this is posted anywere but does anyone think that they will have a ta05 type car based off the 415? a ta04r type version of the 415 would be my choice for gt2 plus alot of guys that dont want to spent the money on the 415 would have a great car.

Here's what I've come to realize with my 04....Initially it was cheaper than the 414 was at the time....BUT....I could have bought 3 414's for what in have invested in my 04. I think a 415-based TA-05 would be awesome.

There is a skip from 12-03 to 5-04 on page 57 and there are no posts in between.

I've dropped a nickel or 2 into my 04-SS to make it raceable. I think I've put in about $150 so I doubled my kit price.

Well i guess we can hope there is a ta05 based of the 415 i would be getting one as soon as they came out for sure. that would be the best gt2 car in my books.

They are always working on something. The TA03 was up for like 4 years, and the TA04 has been out for about the same. So, stands to reason that the TA05 is on the horizon. Could it be a new car for nationals

TA-04 debuted in 1999....I remember Gary Demory saying at that race that there was a Tub version coming and "the TA-03 is officially obsolete".

But man... a new car before nationals? I hope not. I'd like to see something like mandating that a car must be available for at least 60 days before nationals to be legal...Roar does something similar in the stock classes I think...

A 415 based TA05 would effectively be a Tech Racing MY02 Monster assuming the bulkheads are non alloy as was the case with the 414/TA04

Thats the way tamiya has always been. The TA03RS, TA04, a couple of Evo's, A tires (both sedan, and mini) even last year B3 tires all came out very near the natinoals. Even the M03, when they first bring them out, they have not been legal for our race here in WA, but have been legal at NATS!

I have pretty much already closed out many of the parts that are TA04 specific, most people here have moved to the TB02. Belts, gear cases, and such.

Yes, ROAR does have a ruling like that...For the Stock class, the chassis must be readily availble thru commercial outlet (i.e., hobby shops) 14 days before the start of the Nationals
