Well tcs is over now ( bummer ) I think their was a total of 150 people and over 20 heats. F 201 had the best finish it came down to the last couple of feet on the last lap. GT1 and Gt2 had the biggest turnout I think with about 30 guys a piece. I finished 3rd in gt2 and 2nd in the B of gt1.

Tamiya surprised everyone with a new " whippler rule" any past national champions ( anyone who won a trip to Japan) can take credit for a regional race win but cannot take the car kit it automatically goes to the second place driver. He won 2 classes in Milwaukee " mini and rally" and you could tell it was really pissing him off to see his car kits get handed down to someone else.

there is no denying the fact that tamiya ball cups are made of very soft plastic, so it is best to replace them very often.

you can also place a o-ring underneath the ball cup to take up some slop...

Thanks Peter

KINGZJ - good job. So, was it the MII that won it all in the GT1, what about GT2 (04 I bet).

The rule change makes sense but what's this guys motivation to race know?

Yup, I have an IS with a sportline body kit. I'm thinking of trading it in with a Honda element. what do you think?

Erik is a still a competitor even though he won. This rule has been in effect in Canada for a few years and I am glad to see it here.
Pete and I can't even run TCS now due to sponsorship commitments. I would run as a "transparent" runner( not eligible for kits) for the reason that before I won it was nice to compare my driving to former Champs. I also understand that I could "influence" the races making it unfair to run also

I'm going for ease of use and convenience now. A car that I can trash around and have a lot of space for my R/C stuff. Everytime I use my IS to carry my stuff and go to TA track, I just feel bad for my car, I feel it deserves more TLC.

I ran my TAO4-R for the first time at the TCS yesterday as well. I had no practice time or anything, so the car has exactly 3 runs on it, the 2 qualifiers and the main. It went straight from the box to the track for the first qualifier! I didn't even have time to put decals on the body.

Overall, it performed very well. If I had more time I could have worked on the setup a bit, but since I ran it box-stock everything, I can't complain. The only changes I made were 60 weight shock oil, -1 degree of camber at all four corners, and I added a one-way diff in the front after the first heat.

I ended up finishing fourth in the GT2 A Main with it, just behind KINGZJ (and I finished just behind him in the GT1 B with my Evo 3, it was a recurring trend! haha)

m2 won gt1 and 04r won gt2 and 3. Ya I think futureal and I would have really had a chance if we would have had more time with setup. On my second qualifier I had tq beaten by 6 seconds and almost bumped it up a complete lap but got greedy on the last lap and piped it. I was really bumming about that. In the main my car just did not feel right I should have put new tires on but I was being cheap. ( I had them mounted up and everything) I am very happy with how my day went. In gt1 to be honest I basically floundered all day my car was terrible I put way to much motor in it. I would have qualified 4th in the A with my gt2 time in gt1 so basically I should have run a stock motor in mod.............
