Nevermind, just found more info. Seems it's meant for TRF414 owners with parts to convert their kit to the 414M....

Default Anyone have this TA04 part for sale?

Hi. Does anybody have the chassis posts from the TA04 Pro that they could sell to me? I'm getting a TA04R, and i will upgrade to the saddle chassis, so I will need the posts. Thanks, it's a huge favor.

For the mean time, what could substitute the post tempararily? Would using a very long falt head screw (placing long spacer in the middle) and connect it with a nut? How about the HPI Aluminum Posts (that come with RS4 Sport/Pro/Rally?)

HUGE thanks (I would have a pic of the HPI Aluminum Posts, but HPIRacing.com is down of course!)

Alvin in a way you could use those TRF414M conversion parts but you also need the saddle pack chassis. But note that with the TRF parts, you can't race in the TCS series. The 414 parts are basically the same as the TA04 parts so you can interchange them.

jcr,
do you mean if I get the 414 conversion kit AND the ta04 saddle pack carbon chassis, my 04 can really be converted to a 414m?

Oh btw, what's TCS? I play my car in Singapore btw, don't know if that applies here

Regards,
Alvin

well it will come close to a 414M not but not exactly. or if you could get all the parts that's on the 414M then it would but i think lots of those on the 04R is close so the saddle pack wit hthe conversion will be very close to it.

TCS is the Tamiya Championship series, they do not allow TRF parts.

I posted long time ago in this thread about TA04R's lower deck is gonna be replaced. Anyway, from what I get at Tamiya's track is that the owner of TA04R will be able to send in their old lower deck for replacement once the new one came out.

I don't think you can use the TRF414M conversion kit on your Regualr TA04. Some of the parts are interchangeable such as the universal shaft... etc... however, you will end up having tons of unusable parts for your chassis cuz the bottom plate's screw pattern of a TRF414 series is very different from the regular TA04.

The conversion kit is for TRF414 that's only been released in Japan anyway. So I doubt that you will be able to buy it in the state.

TRF parts are allowed, the TRF speical damper are used in the TCS final here in the U.S... TRF cars such as TRF414M, TRF414x are not allowed.

Default 414M Conv.

There are 4 in Canada. It comes with a nice TRF414M T-shirt, which didn't come with the 414M kit.

Default Car body

Try the Opel V8 coupe body. But instead of the stock rear wing, get the carbon patteren adjustable wing. That body is very nimble and nice. With the change on the rear wing the down force is great. Try it out.
