What is everyones opinion on which is the best handling (stratus-like) body? I heard the 360 Modena handles very well, but I want opinions....

BTW: the alteeza has more steering while giving a well planted feel, however the body seems slower from it's taller profile.

IMPACTPLAYR

Great Question! I was going to ask the same thing myself. According to a fast Tamiya guy at my track, the Ferrari 360 and Skyline bodies are the best balanced. At the 3 hr long enduro race, David Jun and Raymond Flores used a Mercedes DTM body (the 4 door sedan, not gt1).
Anyone else try different Tamiya bodies?

Thumbs up new 04R chassis!

from what i heard, Tamiya is going to make a replacement chassis for the TA04R because of people complaining the belt is too tight so i think the chassis will be a little short to fit it(1mm or so). and i heard it's 100g lighter!

I don't see it, my TA04-R chassis has considerably less flex both side-to-side and front-to-back than any car I have previously owned including my TC3.....

does the ta04 pro have the most chassis flex out of all the ta04 series? like...the car is made up of fiber boards...it should be a really soft material!

m5: no...not really...just that they are talking about chassis flex and i know that the pro is made out of fiber boards....the R version should be stiffer then the pro!

jcr,

A new TA04-R chassis?
Are they going to swap out the old ones are they gonna charge us for a new chassis?

I'm a little skeptical. If you shorten the chassis, that would move the front and rear bulkheads closer which would shorten the distance between the belts. However, the top chassis would no longer line up!!! They need to release a new bottom AND top chassis to take care of the tight belt problem.
