Default Tamiya stock motors

Just found out that there will be a hand-out motor for GT-2 class at the Tamiya nats this year (Tamiya won't say which one until week of race). I'm assuming it will be a Tamiya stocker. Anyone have any tuning experience with these (Type R, S &T)? Thanks.

Default Ta04ss arms

I've just been looking at the Ta04ss on Tamiya site and noticed that the arms seem to be the only mod to that car. I'm thinking, would the new arms work on the 04r....and if so thats 10mm shorter wheelbase= better handling? If thats the only difference what a killer combo!!

Default Battery fit in slotted tub chassis

I noticed that a 3000HV side-by-side pack doesn't fit well in the new carbon tub chassis with the battery slot cut outs. 2400s fit fine. Does anyone know whether 3000 smh will fit better? Thanks.

Yep! those RC3000 & RC3000HV cells fit very tight if you put another shrinkwrap over the mfg's wrap. SMH's and Ultra metals fit much better and loose some grams (beware this, I lost my best main in the last race for a mere 6 grams of underweight).

Uhm.... rather than using B-type tyres I prefeer to use B2 type the grip of last one is better than B type.

Depending of your track, your setup should change a lot. I discovered that my 04 is very sensitive to setup changes.

One trick: I changed my stock rear uprights for the ones who came with the TRF414M2 (the ones with 2 toe-in) and now my car is much planted and have more rear grip.

Does rear toe help in the corners or just straight-line stability? We're running the hardened rear uprights which I think are 0 toe (?) and we need more rear plant in the corners.

Then get those rear uprights, the car is real planted with them. Do a search some pages backwards for the upright word. You will see some messages from me regarding this.

Default Aliso Viejo TCS

Hi guys,

Just wondering what inserts work best with the type B tires for the Aliso Viejo TCS race coming up this month. Thanks in advance.
