Please help. Thanks.
I solved on my 04 w/ lightweight chassis soldering a battery bar at 45 degrees, bending and soldering the battery connector to the bar (If you see the possitive pole of the pack - mine comes to the left side of the car on running direction - solder the battery bar at the 1:30 hours, bend the remaining bar and solder to the bar straight, this assures you that you don't have any problems connecting them).

True.

if you get the R chassis kit only (that comes with the slots), then the weight difference is negligible. As the two cars are so similar, it will depend on the driver's personal tastes.

Wouldn't the carbon reinforced tub weigh more than the FRP deck?

The difference of weight is almost negligible, but the difference of height of a such heavy part of the car (the battery pack) makes so interesting having the ones with battery cutouts. The one with cutouts lowers the CG of the car a little.

That's a good point.

I still use stick packs however so the slots act more like ventilation holes.

And here is one last pic with the 414M2 lid removed. Can you spot the difference?

I am getting my TA04 Pro soon..I know its not an R, but I wanted to start out with something slow this time....I always get the real expensive cars and tear them up I plan to get the oneways, the blue heatsink-motormount, and universals...anything else I should get?I will be running stock motors, and quantum pro sport...track is tar covered asphalt, very tight last time I was there...well, infield is always tight, but it is based on an oval because they race oval too, so lots of times we have a very long straight into a really tight infield, and we race at night....so im not too good...best ive done is last a couple times in A main, and won B main twice, with schumacher Axis2 and Atlas YM34....

P.S.- Aurra, hope you dont mind me borrowing your avatar

It's not that the 04R is any faster it just handles better, you are gonna spend $120 extra on that pro just to get the motor mount and universals, when the 04R includes them..... From the track description I don't think you want any one-ways......

I got my pro a week ago. I love it. I got the heat sink motor mount with it and installed as I was building the car. I also plan on up grading the car to R level, but I am in no hurry. The car drives super smooth out of the box.

Course R, thanks man, I think I get what you are saying. I'll try that tonight. So are you saying that by doing that you can solder the esc straight to the battery, or are you able to use a connector with the battery? Thanks.

?? the motor mount is something like $13, and the universals like $20 a pair, which is reasonable....it may not seem like I need the oneways, but I cannot drive anything without them.maybe this is different, we will see
