Are we going to see a Leafs' comeback?

Isn't it the rule to make the ratio numerically higher, with lower turn mods?

I have trouble with heat at 128/40 ratio (could be my problem) on a 12t.

Corse-R - Try 48 pitch gears, they will last longer.

corse-r

use hpi gears they fit the tamiya hub perfect (metric I.D. of gear) and they are cheap. I prefer 64 pitch works better for me. Droop on ta04 really never did much for me I tuned with the camber links and played with the steering ackerman. You can ask impactplayer my car was way hooked up at the tcs race in hanover. I would install ball diffs that would be the single best thing you could do and I personally would go lower on the shock oil I run 40 all around with the yellow or white springs all around. also try a sway bar....

I'll give them ratios a try Corse-R

Kiwikid: I'm sure the Leafs can come back, but confidence really hurt now, since they're down 3-1 in the series.

Default Rear uprights confussion!!!!!

Hi to all:

Can anybody explain me what's the difference between those three parts?

Item 50869: TA04 'E' parts. (Stock on TA04 chassis).
Item 53428: TA04 Hard rear uprights. (Stock on TRF414).
Item 53472: TA04 Toe-in rear uprights. (Stock on TRF414M).

I've heard that ones of those are 2mm toe-in and others were 1mm toe-in. Can anybody point me what are the 1mm and what are the 2mm ones?

Default Gear ratios and mesh table.

Hi to all.

From this weekend I'm constructing a table with the possible mesh ratios available for the TA04. Because some Pinion/Gear combinations are impossible due to the fact that the motor slides under the spur, can be wise to know in a shot what kind of ratios and combos are possible and not fighting with the car to mesh an almost impossible combo, like I needed to do last weekend (112/43) and ended filing the motor plate.

To do this. I'm working with my gear collection of 64p of spurs and pinions and I'm creating a table with those spurs: 112, 114, 116, 118, 120 & 128T and pinions from 38 to 47T (sorry, I don't have any spur between 120 and 128, so if anyone wants to check what combinations are possible can be great to add to this table).

Currently I'm working on this table, anyone interested on those when I finish it?.

The 50869 is 1 deg of rear toe

53428 is the same as 50869 but with the carbon reinforced material.

53472 is 2 deg rear toe with the carbon reinforced material

I'm actually quite relieved. All the Leaf hysteria and hype were really starting to piss me off. Plus, all those Leaf flags that people attach to their cars were most likely hurting their aerodynamic efficiency, and thereby increasing fuel consumption.

So ya, it's not so bad.

Hi Alvaro:

For not breaking the laws on this forum, I'll answer partial on plain English. I'm Alfonso Correas and yes, I'll attend to the TCS race next weekend at Alcobendas.

El Navascues tambien se apunta a la categorķa de rallye. Va a estar 'mucho bien' esa carrera.

Saludos,
Alfonso Correas

Default TT-01

Is Tamiya releasing a new chassis?

The TT-01 shown in the above pic at the Shizuoka Hobby Show, seems to be shaft driven, with a layout reminiscent of the TB series. Guessing it'll be release with the new (and kick-ass lookin') Integra R body, as show below:

But they say it's an Xpert Built car, which implies something dynamically low-end. So perhaps this is the replacement for the aging TL-01.
