the ta04-trf is great, but u have to be ready for a stickpack.

anyone know an easy way to "convert" a ta04-trf to run a sidebyside pack?

Heya ll,

I got my used-but saaweet TA04 today. Got two questions to start.

1. Is there a different front belt that will free up the drivetrain? The front belts tight as a fiddle string.

2.I saw a tub chassis with cutouts for the batteries above. Anyone have a part number?

As always-thanks in advance,
Ray

Ray, there are only two belts. One is standard, the other is reinforced. The tub I think you are refering to, has a wonderfull part number type this into your brain "d r e m e l" and see if that helps

Hi RAY!!!
The chassis you are referring to is called a TA04 Light weight, reinforced chassis!!! YES IT's made by TAMIYA not by my dremel. It is also the chassis that comes with the TA04-R Tuned Chassis Kit with "Carbon Reinforced Resin Lower Deck"

It is reinforced by Carbon and is really stiff!!! EVen stiffer that an SSG or Carbon Lower deck, if you use it-- its even stiffer than the 414!!! The stuffs that I did to it, the motor cut outs, etc., I have asked is "TCS Legal" well in our shores it is.

And those who are running side by side on this chassis, BE SURE to place tape bec it does short the packs.

Peace to all and Happy Racing!!

Here is a page where you can see the chassis with cut outs!! I may be a surgeon but i'm not good with a dremel to cut out that nicely!!!
http://www.tamiya.com/english/produc...uned/index.htm

and the part number for the chassis is:
53481 OP481 TA04 Carbon Rein. Lower Deck again not by my dremel!
