It's tough for one place to do it all: studio quality shots AND photos from the show floor. RCCA's first responsibility is obviously to the magazine, and readers of the magazine by and large want to see clear and focused close-ups of new products.
In the past, I did a lot of booth and "ambiance" shots of the show, as I didn't think I'd be able to compete with RCCA's stuff, and as they say, there's no point in reinventing the wheel. As I said earlier, I do have some of that stuff from this year, but far less, since I was tied to a booth most of the time.
Regardless, I don't think there's anything wrong with RCCA's coverage!
