I am new to 1/12. Actually, I just got it put together tonight. Should I use a capacitor on the car?

I normally will if I'm not running a Rx battery pack. What it does is keep the radio from glitching when you start getting on the throttle hard. When I put a cap on my car it stopped glitching, so I've been running one ever since.

Speedie

What speedo are you using? The cap is there mainly to keep the speedo cool. It also helps smooth out the voltage spikes. The speedo manufacturer has it there for a reason. Plus its weight is very minimal for the important job it does.
