Wilfred : Erhh... the title of this thread is highy misleading.... it sounds hostile ( as in hostile to Japanese or Asian on the whole) yet the contents are most definately not. As an Asian, of course I feel a tingle of pride whenever someone from our region of the world takes to the podium, be it RC or full sized racing, but I still feel its most enjoyable when the best driver wins ( Take that Ferrari : P Team orders my ass!!!! )
FYI Masami Hirosaka has always been a force to be reckoned with in RC for as far as I can remember : P He did not just "pop out" overnight, he has been ard since the days of Joel Johnson etc. Its not only the Japanese who are doing well, credit more certainly most be given to Thailand's Surikarn ( Sorry if I spelled his name wrong
), who is now one of, if not the top Tamiya Factory 414M driver.
The bottom line for me is, it does not really matter where the winning driver is from, as long as it was the best driver who won : )
Regards : )
