I am thinking of getting the 12.5 rotor for my 21.5 mach2 and 17.5 1s mach3 for more torque

I see there is a 13mm; should I get that instead? or is that now not roar legal or maybe overkill.

Or perhaps I should be a whole new high tourque motor?

I believe 12.5 is the highest you can go and be roar legal. I run the 12.5 rotor in my 17.5 1s Mach3 in Touring car

You didn't mention what your rear tire size was.
I found the sweet spot for this setup is a rollout of 82-83 mm and then timing till it gets to about 150 after the race. If it's fast in the first 2 minutes and then fades badly in the last 3 or 4 minutes then take the timing down.

Another option is to run the 2s motor with the 272 rotor. That combo has a little more bottom end for tighter layouts and can handle more timing with the same rollout without fading.

Anyone have a good starting point for 10.5 1s boosted rollout for WGT with close to a full size rear tire?

Default It came with 20° Timing

I just purchased the Reedy Sonic 10.5 Motor. It came set at 20° timing. My older Reedy Sonic 6.5 Motor came set with 0° timing.

Should the 10.5 Motor come set at 20°?

Thank You

Just tested my Mach 2 on an analyser. 34 endbell timing was 46 on the analyser. No wonder it got hot when people kept telling me to crank it over 40.

I have the 10.5 motor. It will get a little bit warm when I run the motor on the pit-stand. Is it because of the 20° timing?

I wonder if this was only an early product run issue or did it go the entire time without anyone figuring it out?

I just got a Mach 3 and wonder if I'll have to make a similar "adjustment". Timing should be timing...I shouldn't have to compensate for a manufacturer building-in an error.
