Thanks Cal, I'll look into that. Although this is the first Google result I clicked on, haha:

If you go to the exotech website they say they have a version 2 that don't break lol
I have read that the UF1 use a "box" that the cars must fit in. I wonder if the wide arms would make the car too wide. With toe out, camber and the pit sidewalls over hanging the rims what the width would be.

hi there,

I need your help with some setup ideas. I hace a global lack of steering with The f110. I run under ets rules and I hace tries a lot of changes in oil, springs, ride height, camber, caster and muy club mates are still one or two steps forward. Do you hace a good asphalt basic setup? I run on an open asphalt nitro track bit with some added turns.

Thankse

I found that using the 2 'eblocks' under the front hubs with stock springs and
800 wt oil on the kingpins, 600wt 3-hole centre shock with Ride big bore purple spring, 100,000 wt in damp tube, set with a little pod droop and 5mm ride height all round gave me plenty of steering. I also use slightly softer side springs from ride.

Thanks dan,

I use some of your comments in the track yesterday and It went Ok, I put the 2 mm piece only and adjust to have the same overall ride height in both axles, added oil in the kingpines and change the dump oil. I also lowered the central shock position, now it's a lot angled.
My car was really better tha friday so I am more confident for next week race

regards
Javier

Hey guys, just finished building mine this morning, waiting for motor, wheels and body before hitting the track .

One question though, the "antenna" stick, are we allowed that on track?

Yes you can use it (but check your local rules to make sure) however I used a normal plastic antenna tube instead of the carbon stick.

Another setup tip.

Use the S100 kingpins (SER 411233). They're slightly longer and allows you to add more front droop, if desired. If not, just add shims.

+1. Been doing that and it works very well to stabilize on power steering.

Onroad has fired back up locally and being a serpent fanboy I'm thinking of the F110 to compete with the local F104 and F113 contingent. Track is indoor asphalt and it has outside boards but concrete curbs. The track is smooth and has a tight in field with a big straight and sweeper. Track is low grip now but will get to medium traction. I Will be running 21.5 blinky with most likely my Prion speedy and motor.

What spares are a must have for this car?
Shorty or full size packs?
If you were going to be running in sub 30c track temps what would be your tyre of choice?
What 48p spur gears fit this car?

I'm trying to invest as little as possible with this as my tourer is my 1st priority. I'm happy to test a couple of options for tyres but I don't really want to invest too much in spares. I have 48p gears and don't plan on investing on 64p gear.

Any help is appreciated. Regards Benzaah.

For ratio, I would use a 70p spur with a 23 pinion and moving forward until 26-27

Spares, conectors for the front arms #411295, during this season is the only part that i have broken. I would invest in some springs, front ride ones, are quite cheap and for the side, one step softer and one harder from serpent.

I prefer shorty lipos, hobbykings nanotech are good quality/price.

Tyres, we use control tyres, ride R1, rears are great, but fronts are quite hard. the great thing is that the last a lot.

cheers

Yes Ben that is the front springs needed, I've been using them from the beginning with the F110, they are slightly longer but I find better.

A lot of people are using kimborough spurs, LEE spurs where mentioned somewhere, I just use the 70 range from serpent. As mentioned the HOBBYKING NANO TECH (PICTURED)Shorty's are great, price especially, got two seasons from mine.

PARTS
-front arm linkages
-for me the plastic nut that holds in the steering ball link I put one wrap around with Teflon tape two help hold better
-Diff spring washer or dome washers
-I screwed the 3 Racing FGX front wing on front mount the factory one I found doesn't last long (PICTURED)
-Front option Ali bulkhead (PICTURED)
-Tyres RIDE R1's rear in summer indoor track yes but i would go softs in the PITSHUMIZU glued to the TAMIYA rims Tyre chart added
-I found the SPEED PASSION F-68 Body the best fit besides the Factory one
-I would stay with the factory kit front width the wider one more than likely wont work well if it is a tight indoor tack
-Set up for indoor download off SERPENT site
-Side springs as mentioned previous post

Well let me ask a silly question:
- which tools do I have to buy to put the F110 together and maintain it?
Partnumbers would be a big help
Thanks.

Furthermore:
Do you guys use tire warmers on rubber tires on asphalt?
For how long a time and at what temp?
Which tire warmer best to use? For exemple the one from GT Power?
Rapping the tires in tissuepaper before putting the warmers on them?
Which tire additives best to use on Ride rubbertires on asphalt?
Which is the ETS mandatory tire additive?
Which percentage of the tire surface best to put tire addivite on?
