Why u want to lock the diff completely ? You could lessen the rear grip by using the following methods: harder rear springs, harder damping oils, or harder tyre inserts for rear ). Or you could increase the front grip.

Completely locked diff usually useful if you cross country such as driving in rough terrain.

Uneven tyres wear usually occur when the diff lock is too tight.
