Default Bolink Legend Brushless Options

I am resurrecting a Bolink Legend (RJ Speed) and while I have several older brushed motors I keep thinking about brushless......

I was thinking about the Castle Creations SCT system might not be bad as I plan on running a 2S lipo (under the chassis, hardcased). I'm worried about overpowering the chassis but mostly bashing as I am unaware of anyone doing spec racing.

Legends are fun, but on 2s lipo, anything hotter than 17.5 with REAL mild boost will over-power the chassis on carpet.

The problem is you're not carrying enough weight to get the rear tires to get them to hook up.

On asphalt, you can get away with slightly more power on long straights.

17.5 zero timing, or 21.5 boosted is a good power level for the chassis if you're trying to get a local class started.

For bashing around fun, I really wouldn't count on anything hotter than a 10.5 being drivable. Donuts are cool and all, but only when they're intentional.
Privateer racing lots of stuff.
Remember kids, racing isn't fair!
