Smile Novak Brushless Help.....

Hey i want to make my tc3 go fast really fast with my brushless motor. they said to gear it 90/20 which i think can only make my car run about 28mph? do u think i would be alright to gear the motor 85/23 which will make the car go about 35mph i think. high low can u gear this motor? i was hoping for atleast 40mph but i dont think i could get that. i have the ss5800 novak brushless motor. please help me

If you are careful about the motor and controller temps (use a fan on the controller) you might be able to gear that motor to around 7.00:1 or maybe a little lower. Novak recommends 7.3:1 for sedans. What are you running it in?

i bought a tc3 and im also goin to buy the reedy heatsink with the fan, does that help out any?

Nope. You don't need to worry about motor heat with the brushless, it's the speedo heat. If anything, mount a fan on the top of the speedo.

Pick up a 5VDC fan and wire it to your battery.

wait i dont really know alot about electronics but can u mayb wire it up to a 9 volt battery?

You could, but that's a lot of dead weight to be lugging around in the chassis.
