I filled them up 3 hours ago and they are holding up strong even under the strenuous conditions on my kitchen table...

OK... here is another problem... What motor fits this car ?
I can barely fit my old Novak in there... there is NO room to make adjustments for different pinions...

The build was going so well till installing the electronics...

I was mistaken about the option kingpins being titanium; they are titanium coated as has been pointed out. Still waiting to hear back from 3Racing in response to my email to them about the fragile front arms and kingpins. We need someone like Exotek or some other aftermarket manufacturer to develop parts for the FGX, such as stronger suspension arms, and perhaps high grade steel kingpins. I would love to see what sort of chassis Exotek could make for the FGX; after all they did an excellent job on their F104 conversion which has recently been made even better with the F1R conversion. I wish they would do something like that for the FGX. I emailed Mike R at Exotek several days ago about that, but have yet to hear back from him.
during our local tracks (norcal hobbies) winter series i ran my exoteck 104 on soft tires and it was a bad idea. i was traction rolling all over the place. once the grip got up on the track, due to all of the other races, the tires turned out to be way too soft. its up to you but i would try at least med front and soft rear.

Did you try a higher rear ride height than front ?

Btw anyone have bad leakage from the shocks?
Yes
leaked terrible fron bottom of shock. Removed the metal retaining pin to have a look at the oring, and the oring had small break in it (about 3/4 way through). Found oring from M18T replaced and stopped the leak.

Boy, first it's the fragile front suspension arms and kingpins; then it's the motor mount position limiting pinion gears and ratios; now it's shocks that leak all the time! Did 3Racing do any proper testing of this car to get the bugs out before they put it to market?

Not sure now how badly I want the FGX now; I really wanted to love this car because of the scale realism;(I am a huge proponent of full independent suspensions on F1 cars) but there are too many issues with the FGX it seems.

The latest Exotek F1R conversion for the F104 is looking better all the time!

From the looks of it, we are the testers! You would think if 3Racing had decent testers, they would have found the same problems.
