this exotek fgx looks very very good. i wonder about the use of this on outdoor surface. i only ever seen a exotek 104 that joins us at our small meetings. it finds it very hard drive on the low traction track. i like the fgx rabbit but i find the change to the front becomes hard for the irs to be maximise. now i also read some pages ago the the mckune car will have a ashpelt edition(?) that is change to the first release(does that make it a carpet chassis?)

Does anyone plan on running one of these without reinventing it?

Been there done that. The FGX is not TC proof.

I guess that makes sense, haven't run mine much so haven't had the headaches yet. Looks like it will be either change it or park it when that time comes.

Mine was parked. I had pulled out all the electrics and was selling it. I couldn't keep it one piece long enough to really wring it out. But Mckune posted his conversion and that was it. Now I'm excited about this car again.

I'll know if I have the funds this next week. If I can make it, it will be last minute.

Its the flimsy upper deck honestly. I have more in my F103s after upgrades than I will into the FGXs after their upgrades. The McKune or Exotek conversion is how the car should have been built in the first place.

We only make one chassis kit. It has has 2 different stiffener plates for the top deck that come with it.

I left it stock 20* timing. I run a 28 pinion on our small high grip track and am very happy with the grunt and top end. I'm headed to the track in the morning for more practice. I hope my kits are in early next week.

I should have my McKune kit Monday or Tuesday, I'm already disassembled and ready. Im goin to go do some parking lot bashing as soon as I can and then a race on the nitro track in Houston next weekend. After that, the nationals. Will have plenty of run time shortly.
