well just got it together and drove it around the street, the front tires stay on the ground now but it does have more push! It is pretty darn stiff. Should be awesome on carpet, i may need to go to a thinner matl for the asphalt.

That was fast. I'm re-thinking my decision to sell it already.

Just to let you know. Right where your new upper deck ends is the weak spot on the stock deck. Snaps there.

you should keep it, i am going to continue to make parts even if noone buys them!! two locals ordered FGX'x today! so it looks like F1 is going to start growing i Htown! i noticed the weak area, im going to end up making an entire deck, just playing around for now! I have to get this car to beat the DD cars! It is possible but tough with the low power motors, mod is a different story but that doesnt exit right now!

Racer Robert can keep the direct drives in check with his. He has it dialed. Doesn't matter what he drives though.
I'll keep it for awhile, don't know when my friend wants to buy it. I may stick a 17.5 in it and try it out for grins. But not on the track. This car doesn't like boards at all.

I do pretty good at mikes Dallas but mikes Houston has a huge straight. With 21.5 we are at full throttle for 5 seconds or more. All the ground I can make up on the infield is lost on that long straight. You need to go with next time.

today i try to install the alloy bulkhead and motor mount. i find trouble as the motor mount is to much alloy at the bottom to be able to run the gearing i want 35spur/34 pinion. i cannot fit a pinion anywhere near the right size. and i cannot use the alloy bulkhead with the kit supply motor mount as the bulkhead once again has to much alloy for the kit motor mount to fit. i will have to get a grinder to work

Yeah I just found the same myself.
I am running the Rabbit conversion and have had to modify some of the holes in the bottom deckto get everything to fit. The problem I face now is that the alignment pin hole and one of the other countersunk screw holes for the motor mount had to be elongated. That wont cause too much issue on our relatively low grip outdoor asphalt tracks in Australia, but come TITC time with mental grip I am hoping that the tweak in that area wont cause mesh issues.
I am seriously considering trying the F104GX conversion to compare the quality.
Anyone got one they would like to rate???

Yeah, I bought the same part but lucky Tony Tam warned me that this aluminum hop up will not allow a larger then say 26 pinion with a 35 spur installed... unless you grind down a substantial portion of the aluminum away...
He also mentioned that they will eventually be making another aluminum bulkhead/motor mount that will solve this problem...
