Where can you buy those link-type front upper arms for the F104?

I'm going to try the TP Z3r-S 21.5 along with a shorty pack. They should be in early next week. I'll post results when I'm done.

I'm thinking of doing either a Retro FW14 or MP4/6 paint scheme. I have the sticker island set from D-Drive.

I'm stuck at work, anyone have the upper arm measurements?

I need them for the distance from ball end center to kingpin on the leading arm and from ball end center to connecting point on the trailing arm.

Thanks!

These are the parts I found with the help of MaxSp97 and Sydewynder:17 mm link ends, pillow ball for inside the link end at the aluminum joint and kingpin end, the aluminum joint, 32mm titanium turn buckles and a metric button head screw on each joint. The only difference in the link ends is that they are the open type Vs. the pics previously posted.

I'm estimating on the turnbuckles in my previous post.

56 mm point to point, 10 mm of usable thread space in each link end and a gap to span of about 16 to 18 mm. I estimated for 8m in each link (lots of adjustability and a lot of turnbuckle in the collar of the link).

8mm + 8mm + 16 mm = 32 mm long turnbuckles

The difference in the point where the joint picks up the rear arm looks to make the top arm almost the same length as the leading arm. So I'm just going to get 4 32 mm turnbuckles.

I just received an email from 3 Racing informing me that they are aware of the problem with the front suspension arms being too fragile, and that they are working on improving them and making them more durable.

I also suggested a couple of other ideas: (1) an optional graphite chassis that includes the lower chassis plate AND the upper deck. The upper deck would be a few millimeters shorter in the rear so as to provide more room for motor adjustment, and (2) I suggested they offer a "pro" version of the FGX that would include all of the 3 Racing option parts, including the ones I just described. I told them that I feel that would be very popular with all of the F1 racers.

I will post here when I hear from them next.
