One track will be running silver can, the other 21.5 brushless and both will be run with rubber tires (probably RIDE). Anyone have any suggestions here?
Can someone that has driven the F109 and the FGX give me an idea, now that the non-sense is hopefully over?

Thats a tough one. I have driven both. Although I have not driven the FGX enough to see its limitations. I can see that there is endless potential.
I think that the FGX will be the better car sooner rather than later. Especially once people have been running it for a while. My only concern is whether or not it remains legal to race against the direct drive cars. I hope it does, because I want one. Bad.

Heres what I like about the FGX over the F109 ( I have 2 F109s)
It is stable, very stable. You can really get on the throttle coming out of the turns faster than the F109/F103/F104. The IRS really keeps it hugging the track.

F109, you know what your going to get. A good solid car. Excellent on foams. Tested. Hop up parts. Tamiya compatible parts.

Its a tough call. I suggest reading more on the FGX and maybe asking your tracks if they are going to be kept as legal despite the gear box. If it is, then Id go FGX.

No pics of mine, but got to the point of putting on the rear pivots before I realized it was after midnight. So far so good!

To actually be factual on your theory, 5 minutes with google turns up wonders... the anatomy of asian eyes does not result in restriction of perhiperial vision compared to western ones, no more than other facial features (eye socket depth, nose size etc). First search result

Whats most amusing is that I'm actually British, but then looking at my avatar picture would require good eye sight right?

I'm pretty sure Atushi will kick your arse regardless, hey even Hiro would! After all, he kicked everyone else's in the UF1 series!!

Troll dealt with... posts and user reported... back to the FGX
Let's not for get Masami. He would never beat the troll.

No, he won 12th scale among his many world championships. Smaller, faster and harder to drive.

I'm wondering if my diff is right. When I screwed the cover down it didn't seam to seat all the way. How much does the rubber gasket seat in? I still have about a 1/2 mm gap.

Is there any to use 64 pitch gears? All of my carpet is setup that way. I like that in the f109, but I like the new ideas of the fgx. Would mean I need more gears though....
