Hello all, I just ordered one of these and the IFS kit. I'm not a racer, I'm getting it for the scale aspect. I'm more of a modeler and collector. Always liked F1 cars but the pan chassis always turned me off. This I had to have! Anyway as you guys know it does not come with tires. Need some help with those. What fits? I see on rcmart there are some suggested ones, but for one, I don't know which compound, and for two, since it's a scale build, I MUST have the ones with Bridgestone or similar scale markings on the sidewalls. Are those Tamiya tires? Will be running on the street and maybe some carpet indoor (although I am terrified to hit the sidewalls with this delicate machine). For powerplant, again, not racing, probably going to go with some simple high Kv 380 based setup. If it goes 30mph I'm happy. I am going to be real gentle with this car so I don't need a super durable motor.

I saw some F1 cars at the track last week, and one of them had what looked like carbon fiber front A-arms. I think they were vinyl wrapped, they looked really good. Anyone done this?

I've tried cf sticker from yeah racing and exotek.
I'd recommend exotek one. Yeah racing one doesn't stick well specially on the edge.

Default Adjusting front ride height

this is pretty basic but can someone tell me the proper way to adjust the front ride height?

Also, does anyone else have issues with set screw and collar that hold the front wheel axles in the hubs? The collars strip and/or deform easily making it difficult to secure the hub to the king pin.

Thumbs up

Very helpful thread gentleman.

Heads up - Quantum Racing in Thailand has
Exotek EFX conversion kits in stock. Looks like its a few bucks
above the listed price and free shipping to the US.

Hopefully everything arrives in good shape and in good time.

I think I have decided on Ride R1 tires for my FGX. Hobbyking has them but they don't show or list foams. Don't they all come with foams? rcmart is out of stock on one of the sets I need.

I'm sorry to say I already located a set. I always appreciate vendors who get involved in the forums and I promise next time I need something you have (which won't be long), I'll order from you.

Hi for Sakura FGX owner:

I am really interested with this chassis to run on 21.5 blinky rubber tyre race.

But i have some question for anyone could help me out:

What bodies, rear and front wing to fit this car?

Since ball diff is out of stock already, what other ones could fit on this car?

What springs and other option parts i must buy for this car?

Best regards

We've heard from 3Racing that they are working on the design of an updated FGX - the Sakura FGX 2015. Early indications are for a March release but it's probably too early for them to be certain.
Is there any info about new FGX?

No word unfortunately. But they won't be the first RC car manufacturer to miss their own deadline

I'm really curious to see what the new FGX looks like! I really like the way my FGX handles now (albeit i dont have much to compare it to) but there are a few things i don't like about it (mostly the slop in the wheel axle/hub).

Like much like the same old car, just with the independent front end.
