I can barely fit my old Novak in there... there is NO room to make adjustments for different pinions...

The build was going so well till installing the electronics...
X12's are a good option, as the back end of the motor is a lot more bevelled than most, meaning you can push the motor up against the post.... either that or the UFO's, as they have the same!

Indoor asphalt...

Regarding the problems with car, I do agree with a few parts, but for me the biggest issue is the motor spacing, there literally isn't enough room and that is a fundamental design problem.
The arms and kingpins can be fixed relatively easily, with a material change/minor redesign. Leaking shocks, not noticed that yet tbh.
But having enough room to move the motor is a big job to change... and fundamentally a big issue. Someone really didn't do their homework on that... I mean seriously, is it that difficult to check how long a motor is, and then provide clearance?

Having said that, I'm lucky as I'm using a UFO 21.5 in mine, so with the massive bevel on the back get good clearance, and the front end will no longer be an issue after ordering up the parts for the Rabbit conversion...

Issues may seem huge, but really they arent
- Front arms - fragile yes, broken both sides, currently have piece of sprue from kit glued on top and it hasnt caused any issues. Currently waiting for new arms to try strenghtening them. Havent broken front kingpins (and have hit a few large immovable objects)

- Shocks - seems like a few may have some issues, but in proportion to numbers of kits, i think its low. Had different leak on Serpent S411 when it arrived.

- Motor mount - it is an issue, i shaved down the plastic on top of post, can fit HW17 turn and 26 pinion. Waiting for spur gear kit to arrive so can install and test.

When you look at the price of this kit, i think it is good value for money, it may also spur some of the other manufacturers into designing similar chassis

just my two bob's worth from a newbie in Aust

Not sure now how badly I want the FGX now; I really wanted to love this car because of the scale realism;(I am a huge proponent of full independent suspensions on F1 cars) but there are too many issues with the FGX it seems.

The latest Exotek F1R conversion for the F104 is looking better all the time!

Yeah I think the link front end is the way to go until 3racing gets a better front end out.

An upgrade kit from China that was released about the same day the car came out to the public. There is an email link a couple pages back with contact info. You can only get them by email. The post has more info and some nice looking parts.
