Wonderful! Next step! Next step!

How do you finally plan to convert the transmision into a belt drive?

Can't wait to see the result (mine is on the way too, I found someone else that can make me the carbon chassis)

Cheers,
G-rem

Rear diffuser installed. Tried all the available rear diffuser in the market and this one, (I reckon) is the perfect fit for 3Racing FGX F1.

Great weekend to all!

Wonderful JC, can you please tell me where you bought it, I'm searching for a rear diffuser for such a long time and cannot find anything that looks realistic

Also, what bliking led are you using at the rear?

Thanks a lot for answering;
Best regards
G-rem

Always love what I see on this thread. Seriously nice work from everyone making conversions and custom chassis etc.

I asked my friend to paint my shell and make it look like a 2014 Williams. Here is the result:

I'm really pleased with it and I've just ordered some self adhesive vinyl for inkjet printing so I can have a go at making some stickers.

Mine is no way as advanced as these conversions going on but I was pleased to find some shorter links for the front IFS so I can use the inner mount on the wishbone so the front suspension is not so stiff. Also I have taken the seal out of the diff and used a few drops of 1k as suggested to me and now the car feels like it wants to corner, at least on my small front drive. Going to get it on the track next Friday, can't wait!

Yeah, JC tried it on its FGX a few posts before and it doesn't look so good, it is really disproportionate in comparison with the rest of the rear (wing,...). I much prefer the one JC posted above ;-)

Best regards,
G-rem

Agreed, JC's looks more scale for sure. I wonder where he picked it up, hope he chimes in soon. Just started building my FGX. This car is awesome. Will post pictures soon.

Hi to all,

Sorry for the late reply. Regarding this diffuser you have mentioned, been there done that. The arch is deflecting the protruding break light. (image attached below for reference).

Diffuser A

Diffuser B

G-rem, sir, the latest mounted diffuser is from Chevron Models. It looks real though a bit long but ain't an issue at all.

Regarding the build, the custom trimmed sidepods sit well on the custom monocoque chassis. I just need a few adjustments though.

Cheers!

JC
