Is it me or the front wing is the Tamiya F104 one?
How does it fit with the EFX conversion chassis?

Yes, it's tamiya front wing.

Make second hole bigger so that the post can go through, and make two holes on the top part of the wing, use longer screws and nuts to hold it.

One of my customer mark's idea.... it's a lot stronger than stock wing...

Maybe going to a Formula Rabbit chassis will help it lose weight enough weight to be competitive.

I have the Exotek conversion and it still feels way heavy but I've been told spring71's car is quick and fast

Now that looks a cool project ...
Good job Spring 71.....

I'm just starting to put mine together. Looking foreword to an interesting F1 season ..... when I get this thing all done.

Good also to see we can get the Tamiya F1 bodies and front wing to fit these cars. I think those bodies are much better.

Default Great Work Guys!

Please keep the belt drive photos and info coming. This is the next project I plan on doing once I get a couple of other class loose ends tied up.

Does the belt drive make the fgx competitive with the direct drive cars on carpet? I'm torn between doing this conversion or picking up a f103 or f104. Right now I have a formula rabbit conversion and it has greatly improved the car over stock but it still lacks a little to the direct drive cars. main issue seems to be motor heat so I can't match the dd gearing.

Has anyone tried out the roller diff? I'm considering one for asphalt.

Sounds to me like they can compete already?

Was this a highly modified FGX?

Hey there all,

I'm just putting my FGX together with the Exotek chassis conversion V2.
I was planning on putting in the Speed Passion 21.5 motor in.

Question is ...... what speed controller should I go with?
I will let you know I'm really more of a nitro man and have run very little electric so very unsure about how all this programming stuff works or if I even need it...
I'm hoping to race in the UF1-Midwest series.

I need some help deciding.
Thanks in advance.

Regards,
BM

I have Hobbywing V3.1 on my FGX.

Tekin RS is most popular here.... Hobbywing Justock is great for the price.

Thank you for the reply.
Is there any advantage size wise from any you mentioned? I know space is tight in the FGX.

I was also looking at the SpeedPassion controllers too.
The Reventon Pro and Reventon-S.

Not sure if I need such a high dollar ESC as the pro or if I would gain anything from having it. Unless size and weight wise?

What do you think?
