Just to make sure, is this the one I should get? TIA

Sorry to flood the thread. I just found this over at TQrcracing.com:

Anyone here tried this? Is this a complete replacement/alternative to the default gear diff which actually binds with the rear alum upper cover? TIA.

The Alum Ball Differential is a essential option part to have readied in your parts box especially during conditions where the track may be slightly bumpy or uneven, the Ball Differential provides the limited slip needed to maintain the cars instability while driving over small unexpected bumps which cannot be seen easily seen by the naked eye while you are on the driver stand.

This part actually:

http://www.tqrcracing.com/shop/product_view.asp The stock ones do not let the bearing seat correctly. These do. They are technically the same, but come from a different parts tree hence a different injection mold.

Definitely agree. I have ne desire to ever run a gear diff in this car again. ball diff is uOtis way to go. you can dial in the perfect amount of slip for the corners. easier to tune and more effective. It does require more cleaning and learning to adjust it is different but not difficult.

Thanks for the input fellas regarding the 3Racing Aluminum Ball Differential System. I managed to snatch one before the stock depleted over at rcmart.com. Can't wait to try it. Cheers!

Where can I buy the collar for the front knuckle?
One of them is stripped and it keeps moving on the kingpin.
I wish it was made of metal like tamiya's.

Just order the Exotek knuckles and you won't need the collar..
