Great Video! What motor was the f104 running? I have never had anything faster than a 21.5 in mine.. I think the F104 spun out in front of you twice corect? Reminds me of mine, gets slipppery when getting on the gas too hard. The FGX Really looked like the front suspension was working. I have a F1 and we dont even have a dedicated onroad racing here, But it will come back I'm hoping this spring. The FGX looks like it is easier to drive. The 11.5 motor seems like it would make any 2wd car hard to drive but your fgx handeled it great, Woot! I think this is my next car. Also do you have a pic of the car with the camera on it, I just wonder how small a "wing camera" is?

F104X1 in this video is my car, I was using a Team Powers 17.5T. Problem was the Shimizu compound combo used with cold weather. 0571/0572 combo work better with more template temps but not with cold weather.

yess! the IFS works pretty well on my FGX, and the shimizus 0561/0565 works great at low temperature and dirty track. The camera is 74mm x 28mm x 15mm, weight: 29.4g, 1280x720p 30fps 5MP CMOS, and for only 35$...

If you buy this camera, remember to use a good card (class 4 minimum) to prevent cuts recording video. The camera, at 1280x720p 30fps uses 2Mb per second, 120Mb a minute...

The F113 is still technically not out yet. The parts are not interchangeable though. The F113 is more of an evolution of the F109

This is with the aluminum rear bulkhead and motor mount combo from 3Racing:

The aluminum around the lower motor bolt hole is preventing me from going any bigger in pinion size.
To make a long story short, you're correct. FDR of around 3.8 to 4.5 depending on motor timing. Make sure your getting max revs and not overheating.

I run the aluminum motor mount hop up. I do not Dremel anything as the largest pinion I need is around 25 teeth for a 90+ foot straight. The motor is maxing out on revs around 3/4 of the straight. Gearing any taller just adds heat and takes away any braking. It does not add top speed as the motor can only push so much weight so hard with the torque available. An under reving motor gets very hot due to excess load. Depending on your motor timing, mine is at 35*, your motor may max out sooner or later. Gear for heat, not top speed. Direct drive cars like the 103 and 104 weigh a lot less and can be geared differently. They will be a tad faster at the end of the straight. I run 35* timing on the Thunderpower 21.5. I come off the track @ 5 min around 125, 8 min @ 130 and have run the car for a full 25 min with no lack of consistency. And to back that up, I did it with a second car built exactly the same. Lap times were within hundreths of a second.

I noticed theres also a version 2 that does 1080p 30fps, and can do 720p at 60fps for less then $100... If I like it when I get it here I may just have to order a v2 as well http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=25656

Both can do 120* view too...

Thanks, that helps a lot. The biggest I could get on without grinding was a 27t which I'm going to leave on until I can run to get a feel for it.

Appreciate the good advice!
