its not that im not scared to experiment, its that i already have over $500 in a rc car that goes slow compared to almost all other types of rc cars. i just dont have the extra extra money to experiment. x2 extra because rc is already expensive and experimenting is another extra. not to mention, arent we all on here to share information and setups?

It's definitely got the Sakura XI DH v2 motor mount, and it's hard to tell but the lay shaft mount looks like it's from that kit too. The motor mount and lay shaft mount are installed opposite sides to what they should be in a TC.

It also appears to be using the standard fgx alloy rear bulk heads.

Yes we do have them for sale, but right now only for the 104. After the IIC we will have rims for the FGX. The tires are the same for both the 104 and the FGX

Will they fit other wheels?

What about pinions for a silvercan motor. What works for higher speed track.
Also will an F104w kingpin replace the stock one?

Yesterday was a fun day with 5 FGX cars testing and sharing setups.

Main tips:

1. Use thick fluid or grease on front kingpin. This will slow down weight transfer during off power and help in off power oversteer.
2. The Pit Shimizu tires are good but inserts and sidewalls too soft. Maybe harder inserts would be better.
3. More caster (e.g. 6 degrees) might help in off-power oversteer.
4. Lightweight helps a lot.

During the period of 10am - 1pm, when track was still a little dusty and low grip, the FGX were faster than direct drives. But later as the track became medium to high grip, the direct drives were faster due to drivetrain efficiency (as I tested cars using same weight with FGX and Tamiya).

FGX turn in was very fast, maybe faster than direct drives. But on exit it loses out on acceleration in a high grip track.

Solution: Race on a low grip, twisty and bumpy track layout.
