Just about got mine ready for some testing. Waiting on my Team Powers 21.5 Lite and Solar low profile servo. I was very impressed at the fitment and quality of the parts for the price. Just as good as some higher end kits I have assembled. Body is very detailed although I will be in the market to build a race body to resemble Weber's Red Bull. Anyone know of a body that will fit the FGX and make that livery?

The tamiya f60 body fits with abit of trimming around the motor and front upper arms

Looks good mate!
I still think the tamiya Ferrari f60 body looks more realistic.
Hey how did ya go with all that binding issue?

Rebuilt the rear end and wound down the engine timing and it seems to have gone away. I think that it was because of the engine, not the gears

Good to hear!
I don't think motor timing will create a noise like that mine is wound up miles and runs fine.
You may find when you had rebuilt, u may have fixed the issue.something may not have been seated right or something not parralel properly.

dear exotek or anybody else who knows the answer,

are your front adjustable arms the same for the fgx and the 104, if not will the 104 arms fit the fgx. i ask because i have a 104 with the fgx arms and i am now switching to the fgx chassis. it would be great if i dont need to buy more parts. thanks

Beautiful car man! A+

It looks like you painted the front wing...maybe the rear too. Did you use the same paint on the body and how is it holding up on the front wing? Just curious...I'm going to start a RedBull car very soon. Any tips would be helpful. Also...one more question...did you use F1 Paintlab stickers or D-Drive?

Thanks,
Vyg

Yes, I did. But after this image was taken the paint started to flake (can see a bit under the ServusTV logo on the rear wing), so don't do it. What I have done since then is spray paint vinyl with the same metallic blue as the body and then stick them on, which has proved much more successfull.

The stickers are from D-Drive

I know before the fgx specific upper arms cane out people where running the 104 arms on the fgx. The only difference between the two is where the trailing arm meets the leading arm. On Fgx arms that point is closer to the king pin. Send a pm to mike r, he is exotek.

I have been looking at F1 cars lately. I noticed that the guy who qualified 8th was running a F1-09, 3 Racings previous F1. I was wondering how much better the FGX is compared to the F1-09? I am reading this thread from the end to the start so maybe the info is out there. I've seen some used F1-09 for good prices w/ electronics but if the FGX is way better then I will start with it.
