Well I finally got to run mine for a bit today and the initial setup I had on the car was as good as my F104 which I have ran a bit longer. Went to a thicker rear shock oil, raised the rear ride height a little bit, and reduced the droop and the car got better. If I had some more drag brake in the car the it would turn better and be more stable than my F104 but I didn't mess with that setting yet as I would like to try other things first. Unfortunately my practice day was cut short after I broke a front king pin Still I am quite pleased with the car as it definitely shows more potential than my F104.

Is it possible to run an FDR of 3.7 with the FGX? For those who have, what pinion/spur combo?

Finally completed mine today. body is painted and Red Bull Livery applied. mostly box stock, running sway bars, 2*camber. cut out inlets to cool motor. Will compete in next UF1 at Camarillo.

Hi,

Is it possible to fit a GM Sport 13.5T in this car? I've heard hat some motors are to big to fit in.

if you move the left side top deck post up one posistion to where it mounts directly under the body post using a set screw instead of button head screw with just a small amount of trimming you should be able to run most any motor without a problem. if you convert to a Mckune Carbone Chassi there is no problem at all with motor options

I should have taken pix while i was doing it but the front is just 104 knuckles and regular 104 wheels/tires (no extender actually feels better!!). For the rear all i did was basically take a 104 foam wheel and grind it completely out so that it is just a tube, slid the tube over the FGX wheel CA and then mount the tires like normal. Just make sure when you slide the ring over that it is flush with the front side of the FGX wheel. At least on my car the 0571 fronts had waaaay too much steering so choose wisely on the pit fronts but also know that if you use the RIDE 104 front wheels all of the normal FGX tires fit that wheel.
