VERY nice, looks like it works very well. any faster than previous laptimes? it seems to be stable, normally these cars tend to move around thorughout the turns and the "squeal" is choppy. yours seems to sound better if that makes any sense.

Thanks .. The car is very easy to drive and is planted !! My fastest lap down to 12.6 ..entering corners very smooth with no push ,over steer ,or under steer, also no positive camber, has alot of on power steering . car is very nimbal and very accurate to drivers input .. The biggest thing is the body mounts as normal and the suspension if very free and nothing binds .. Its full throttle on the straight to the end of the sweeper ..No chopping effects thru out the track ..

@mb racer

Do you mind saying what you used for the outer ball links that's on the top and bottom of the steering knuckle? They look like 2 ball ends moulded into a V shape.

The car looks really good in the video.

Formula Rabbit Concept chassis prototype

If use FGX in a control race like TITC or etc, FGX have a problem. If you use a same power unit with direct drive car, direct drive car will have faster top speed and acceleration than FGX, direct drive car will have better throttle response. FGX's transmission unit is heavy, more obstacle, intricacy and inefficiency. Multi gear design is a problem, it will give car more obstacle and acceleration delay and poor throttle response.

Formula Rabbit Concept chassis want to use a single belt transmission design. It's lightweight, lower obstacle, high efficiency, like ep sedan chassis. I think maybe it is a evolution for FGX, need more test

Looks good, but at this point, you no longer have an FGX.

Just need to turn the end of the layshaft down to 1/8" so you can mount motor pinions on it....

I beg to differ, my FGX is just as fast as the DD cars on our very fast and large track. Ceramic bearings and tire balancing make the difference. My car comes out of the turns harder while the DD cars go in hotter, most videos support this. Im just sayin! there are also theories that support the fact that gears can be just as efficient if not more efficient than belts. 3R bearings are horrible at best! and on that note Ceramic bearing kits will be available in two weeks at RCShox!!

MantisWorx:

Change ceramic bearings is a good choose.

DO you try same motor and esc with DD car? In China race, only need use 21.5T and no boost software. If use my UFO motor, I can faster than DD car, so I don't mind it in a few months. But at another race like TITC 2012, need use same esc and motor in race, lightweight and high efficiency will give DD car more speed and acceler with same power unit.

I don't think 3 stage gear transmission with ceramic bearings can get same or higher efficiency than DD car's 1 stage transmission with ceramic bearings. If 3 stage gear transmission is high efficiency, why another car don't use it?
