Yes, add half mil shims on the top side of the steering knuckle to remove the excess droop. I have 3 mil worth of shims on mine at the moment and still have about 1 mil droop up front. I run the soft silver springs and no middle C clip. I rely on the set screw to keep the king pin from sliding and have no issues to date. My front ride height is not impacted.

Love those brake discs Gadgt!! What chassis are you using? The Exotek or the McKune?

Looking forward to pics of the finished car plus a report on how it handles!

I'm using the ExoTek chassis. The brake discs are 3Racing.

I had to space my calipers out by .2mm , so they would clear the rotor. A friend lent me some Ride rear tyres , they fouled on the calipers. They were Ride rims too, the stock FGX rims are ok.

Nice...

Had a chance to give the FGX a short shake down today while the track is being re-configured. No signs of the oversteer that people seem to be complaining about(whew!). Ride mediums all around and stock oils all around changed out the shocks to the 18r shocks and stiffer springs. Nest week on the new configuration should be interesting with a new layout and car.....

Well the shocks weren't feeling as smooth as I had hoped so I took them apart and I think I found the reason so many people have had problems with them...the plastic spacer between the o-rings was put in with the flashing still on the piece! This caused the spacer to misalign which caused binding on the shaft...had I built the shock like that I imagine it would have caused leaking too. But be very careful...there are actually 2 o-rings in the shock not 1...and they are very small. I seemed to have lost one

Unfortuantely I wasn't able to find the missing o-ring...but...I did have a 3Racing set of shocks for the M18 that uses the same sized o-rings so my FGX roller is assembled I still need to install the electronics and paint the body. Initial impressions are: I like the concept and design, and the plastics are finally better than what I am used to seeing from 3Racing. However the molding isn't great so the fit on the plastics is causing some tweak here and there. As soon as I can I will be replacing out the rear bulkheads and top cover with aluminum ones. That aside this is still a way cool car and I'm sure I am going to really like it.

Tweak is KILLING me right now! I am about to make a new upper deck just to address it. The other day i set my car on my desk with one of the rear wheels hanging off of the edge, came back a few hours later and the chassis had about 10mm of tweak!!

Well the F201 was extremely bad on tweak...most likely this will not be as bad. But still something that needs to be addressed.

I had to add a shim on my rear ones as well or they rubbed...the fronts seemed fine though.
