Thanks everyone.

I'm thinking I will move the post, I was trying to do away with the ESC door, but couldn't figure out how I'd be able to get the battery in and out with the esc there.

Mantis it looks like you've got the esc on the servo side, and receiver on the side the door would be, any weight balance issues there?

Hi,

I've got another problem with the car. I have a tool from Hudy for 3mm turnbuckles. My manual says that it I should use there is a 3mm wrench. But the one from Hudy doesn't fit on the turnbuckle. Which size should I use then? I want to buy the right one from Hudy.

regards

The kit turnbuckles suck. Not sure what size they are. I'd suggest waiting for 3Racing to bring out the titanium turnbuckle set which is a normal 3mm turnbuckle. No idea when that will be though, its "coming soon".

Yes they do. So need to buy some hop-up turnbuckles :-(

That did it! Each 4 holes of the screws had some plastic around it. I cut around the holes with a knife.

Thanks a lot!

I stripped one also. What a pain. They are horrible.

At least they're offering spares. The smaller ball ends. I came across them looking for the turnbuckles.

I ended up just buying the individual pairs of 3racing ti turnbuckles. What was really annoying is they have the same part number for the ones that use a 3mm wrench and 4mm wrench. So now I have some that are 3mm and some that are 4mm. So stay away from the individual pairs and get the whole set.

I'm so tempted to change them out to the set.

It shows the TBS-FGX/V1 turnbuckle set as available on their website.

The stock ones with the crappy stamped steel wrench are for the birds. The wrench doesn't last for the build of the kit. This would be nice if it came WITH the wrench. (when it becomes available)

Got my MD built! Everything went together smooth had the chamfer the motor side of the upper deck a few mm for clearance but besides that no issues. On my street it feels pretty good although its hard to judge on the street. AFter i get this one dialed in im going to pick up the exotech and build another complete car, one for our short tracks and one for the high speed track!

After i set the car up and scaled it the torque steer went away, I had to put a little more pre-load on the right shock to get the balance right.
