The TC4 is still a capable chassis. Rick Howart was able to prove that at West Coast RC here in So Cal. Even the TC3 is still a capable car for club racing. I raced against one with my XRay about a month ago and my only advantage over the TC3 was that I had more motor than him.(I was running the new Epic Duo 3) Handling wise it was still good with plastic shocks and plastic CVDs. The only problem with the TC3/4 is the drive ratio which is 2.5 So you'll need a very small spur and large pinions in order to get the right gearing needed for non-boosted 17.5 If you're running mod, that may not be a problem.
