Anyone...
Why now is it ok or better to have the cell on one side and the electronics on the other. Wouldn't the balance be off, isn't this what the 't-bar' guys originally complained about? I guess I'll weight my cells and my electronics to see what the difference is.
Thanks,
E

It placed more towards the centerline, so the electronics are balanced, unlike the t-bar arrangement.

Also with the mass central in the chassis there is no need to add balance weight to off-set the weight of a cell hanging on the outer edges of the chassis, as would be the case with a t-bar car.
The saddle 1s lipo for t-bar cars is a much better option than an "off to one side single cell lipo t-bar setup". However the weight is still further away from the centerline than a link car.
As for how this new arrangement compares to the standard placement of the link type lipo location...that answer will come this indoor season I assume

Guess I'll have to wait for the IIC as that will be the only big race that I'll be attending, maybe I'll pick up the one one for my 12r5.1....

Hi Greg,
Since the Rev.3 to Rev.4, I've always offered a conversion to existing customers so they don't have to buy all new.
So...yes, whether I release a conversion… or more... you'll be able to make the switch without buying a whole kit.
Hope you’re having a great summer.
Take care.-Bruce
